Well ladies and gentlemen, I now present to you the Bragging Rights UK Final!

Its been a great series so far, were currently getting over 100 downloads a week of each show! Which is brilliant stuff!

The final episode see’s the two highest scoring teams Manchester and Cambridge take to the battle field again, to finally decide who is the Bragging Rights Capital City!

WOW. Well that was a great start to the Bragging Rights UK series, with over 120 people downloading or listening to the show in just its first week!

Well Episode 2 (London vs Leeds) is online now and waiting for your ears!

Hello all Bragging Right’s fans.

What a year it has been really! An excellent 2nd series of Bragging Rights with over 100 people each month still downloading! (Fantastic work people!) and 2 more series coming to your ears very soon in the new year.

Bragging Rights Series 3
We can’t wait to get started on a series of live shows again (As much fun as recording is!) again we will be back on LIPA radio and Online to the world at the start of February with Ian and Producer Alex again guiding opposing teams through the quiz rounds. Crazy things will surely happen.

Bragging Rights UK

The show is now well under way, 4 Shows have been recorded and the Final show is being recorded on the 6th January. The series will go live on January 24th. With the first episode Manchester vs Liverpool! Above is a picture of Karen McGurk and Ray Bradshaw making up the Glasgow team, from the studio recording session.

But anyway its now time for your Christmas present. Its Bragging Right’s favourite Andrew Fugle during his term of duty representing his home town of Cambridge, singing The Kook’s classic ‘She moves in her own way’. Enjoy the comedy, and have a fantastic Christmas and here’s to an amazing 2008!

WellI thought I would update you on a few bits of news from the Bragging Rights World, during the time in the studio recording Bragging Rights UK.

Firstly we received this email

“Hi B.R. My name is Jorge. Me and my best friend Joel (Jo-EL) began playing
tennis together about 5 years ago and have played thousands of matches aganist each
other. In his mind he is the better player, but he is the only player who would
agree. Please help us decide who is the better player by giving us the opportunity
to battle on your show. It would really mean a lot to us. Thank You.”

No idea if its genuine! But it was a nice surprise! I have emailed you back Jorge!

As the picture shows the recording has begun for the Bragging Rights UK Series. It has been taken up quite a bit of my time, making sure guests can arrive, properly creating and crafting shows scripts and plans but so far 3 of the shows have been recorded with another one happening this weekend. So far its been going OK, I can’t wait to get a few edited to hear how they sound. But they are on track for broadcast in early February! (I am hoping to put the first episode on-line early so you can hear it :))

Also I checked the web stats this month! 89 People have downloaded episode 1! And we are the second hit on the list (After BBC’s The New Quiz) if you type ‘Radio Quiz Show’ into google! Were more popular than I thought we were!

Some great news for you Bragging Rights Fans! There are to be 2 New Series of Bragging Rights!

That’s right, just like buses there’s none for ages and then 2 come at once. The Official live 3rd series of Bragging Rights will arrive in the new year as planned. But we are currently working on a new series called ‘Bragging Rights UK’. Which will we a 5 part series causing civil war by putting UK cities into battle! The series unlike the live show, will be fully recorded during the month of November and edited during December and will be broadcast in January as a run up to the start of Bragging Rights series 3.

The episodes will feature:

1. Manchester vs Liverpool
2. London vs Leeds
3. Edinburgh vs Glasgow
4. Brighton vs Cambridge
5. The Final

Production so will include a guest audience, 2 contestants per team, new rounds, real buzzers and a much tighter and (hopefully) smoother show. Please contact us with any ideas!

I am afraid were able to fit the last show into the series, but never mind it has been an amazing second series for us!

We have already begun to plan a third series which will be taking place at the start of 2008. If you would like to take part then please get in touch.

We will keep you up to date with any news, as there are still rumours about an American version of the show happening! Which I look forward to!

Yeah  some of you might be wondering why there was no show yesterday!

Well basically there was a fair few issues with the equipment in the studio, hopefully which will get sorted out!

Due to the studio now being closed for Easter, we will have to leave you in suspense for the last episode for a few weeks! But don’t worry it will happen!

It will give you time to email us with your favourite memories of series 2 of bragging rights!
